Taste the seasonal freshness and health supporting qualities of Goose Creek Olive Oil produced on our property at Huapai, West Auckland. Our oil is certified as extra virgin oil and awarded a silver medal in 2009. The oil is harvested and cold pressed carefully to ensure it meets the demanding standards of Olives NZ. Choose from a single variety (koroneiki) or a blend (Picual and Frantoio). These oils are complex and robust in flavour and characterised by distinct fruitiness with grassy overtones leading to sweetness and finishing with a peppery taste. The health giving properties are due to the high levels antioxidants and show support for bowel and liver function, prevent coronary heart disease and reduce the risk of diabetes. Taken before drinking wine the oil has a protective effect on bowel and liver function. |
