Decanter gives two Golds to Champagne Dampierre

The Count has done it again with two of his stunning Cuvees earning Gold medals at the recent tasting done by Decanter Magazine in London.

This only reinforces the status of the Cuvee des Ambassadeurs Premier Cru and the iconic Family Reserve Grand Cru.

Sales have been spiralling so quickly that Champagne Lady has had to airfreight in more stock to fill the gap until her new shipment arrives.

To try to by the glass, visit Antoines, Sails, The Auckland Club, Euro and St Tropez. More restaurants will be given the opportunity to purchase when new stocks arrive!

Of course our private clientele who purchase by the case can drink it every day, particularly the ladies who would like to stay beautiful!

"Champagne Amongst Friends - The Dampierre" to be Auctioned for benefit of SPCA.

"Champagne Amongst Friends- The Dampierre" donated by Internationally acclaimed artist Peter O'Hagan has been auctioned off during the Champagne Dampierre and Aston Martin Party held last week at Independent Prestige.$7800 was raised and the cheque was passed to SPCA Head Bob Kerridge over a glass or two of Champagne Dampierre yesterday at Jonathan Grant Gallery in Parnell - Dealer for Peter O'Hagan! This magnificent piece of art was auctioned for the benefit of SPCA animals less fortunate that the two labradors depicted here. Tequila and Opium are the adored pets of Comte and Comtesse Audoin de Dampierre who were in NZ to promote their eponymous Champagne. Peter O'Hagan became friendly with the Dampierres during his sejour in Champagne when he was "artist in residence" at the Veuve Cliquot Chateau. His works are owned by numerous prestigious entities including Veuve Cliquot, The Orient Express and the world famous Crillon Hotel in Paris. Peter has now begun a new collection of art around the luxury Champagne Comte Audoin de Dampierre, adding "New Kid on The Block" (owned by Champagne Lady" and "Don't give me a Banana, I want the Dampierre" (presented to the Dampierres) to the collection. More are rumoured to be added to the collection during Peter O'Hagan's coming visit to the South of France.

Champagne Comte Audoin de Dampierre Launched by Champagne Lady

In November last year Champagne Lady launched her luxury Champagne Comte Audoin de Dampierre, named after its namesake!The evening was a huge success with stocks selling out overnight. Comte Audoin de Dampierre, an aristocratic gentleman of style and impeccable taste,takes pride on producing cuvees using only Premier and Grand Cru grapes from the finest villages in Champagne. He does not make "Champagne Ordinaire" for "Jean Ordinaire" but "de luxe" Champagne for those who can afford it.With an aristocratic disdain for anything new fangled, he is one of the few producers who still use the "art de ficelage" the old method of tying the cork onto the bottle by hand with waxed twine. Both his Family Reserve Grand Cru and his Cuvee de Prestige use this technique and are presented in a luxurious giftbox complete with its own pair of gilded scissors to cut the twine.
