Cuvee Katarina's specially shaped bottle embellished with soft ribbed curves is reminiscent of the precious bottles displayed in the elegant European Boudoirs at the time. Cuvee Katarina has all the elegance and personality one would expect of a Special Cuvee which has been blended from the wines of several harvests and aged in bottle in our cellars for more than six years. It is the ultimate expression of the art of blending. It is a blend of two thirds Pinot Noir and Meunier from the Montagne de Reims and the Vallee de la Marne and one third Premier Cru Chardonnay from Villers-Marmery.

Cuve Brut de Nomine has a fresh, ripe citrus aroma with an overtone of freshly baked bread. Moving on to the taste of this execeptional Cuve. The flavours of grapefruit and lime open up on the palate, producing a lively and refreshing sensation, characteristic of the great Chardonnays, and a finish that goes on and on. Balance, freshness and power are the essential qualities of the Cuve Brut de Nomine.

SERVING SUGGESTION

The power and balance of the Cuve Brut de Nomine makes it an ideal accompaniment to creamy white meat dishes, or with fish and seafood, even in quite elaborated recipes. It is also an ideal aperitif Champagne, with the cripness and lift from the great Chardonnays.

The Family Reserve is enhanced by its distinctive presentation. We have reverted to the traditional method of hand tying the cork with lightly waxed hemp twine. (ficele a l'ancienne)  The bottle comes in an elegant red and gold gift box, with a pair of gilt scissors to cut the twine. This superb cuvee combines the quality and tradition of Champagne Dampierre.

Light green gold with a very light mousse. This wine is subtle at first, then begins to build to a richness and power that requires food . By the finish of the second or third sip, the flavours have become bold and gripping, a big wine, still fresh.

Pale golden colour; crystal clear and bright. Crisp floral acidity, delicate green fruity bouquet, fresh flavour, lively mousse.A very well-balanced wine, supreme Chardonnay elegance, very smooth. A very interesting wine with great potential.

The colour or pink Champagne must be carefully controlled in order to avoid vulgarity. The Pinot Noir must remain unobtrusive because there is nothing worse than a Champagne with heavy overtones of red wine. The pale colour should be a light caress, a sublime invitation to festivity. This, it will be admired by all.

Copper-salmon colour. Discreet, concentrated, vegetal smell. Solid character homogenous flavour. Well-balanced mousse. Flavours of fresh fruits and herbs, with a touch of bitterness. A very successful example of the difficult art of rose Champagne.

A perfect blend of 50% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 15% Pinot Meunier.

This Champagne won the only Grand Medaille dOr awarded to a Champagne house at the Mondial du Vin in Brussels 2000. It is the largest wine competition in the world! It was also the only Champagne to be awarded 20/20 by the Sommeliers of France ( a judging panel made up of the top sommeliers from Frances most exclusive restaurants) In their words " if only other Champagnes could be as good as this! A perfect cuvee!".

Extremely stylish and elegant with the refinement that the Chardonnay grape brings to it s cuvees, this is one of my, and obviously the worlds favourite cuvees.
